Rich, this will be hard to write! We’ve known one another for the better part of forty-five years thru that wonderful game called APBA. We’ve spent hundreds of hours on the phone talking trades, baseball, football and hockey. And the league drafts, talking about players, when who will be eligible and so forth. It will never be the same! Go rest, free of pain, in the Lord’s caring arms. May God Bless your soul and allow you to rest in peace.

Brenda, my heart breaks for you and I wish I could be nearer. Even though I didn’t know Richard, I know he had to be a good man to pick YOU! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and you know I will do anything to help you. Your friend and coworker – Patti
I have only known Rich for the past dozen years. We played fantasy baseball together and I can attest that he was a diehard a Phillie fan as one could be. His enthusiasm for baseball and our baseball simulation venture was boundless as Rich “truly had the itch”, as we used to say, when it came to playing another season.
I was particularly touched by his concern and encouragement when I was going through a bout with cancer which, as of the moment has subsided. He would encourage me in my treatments as he had similar problems which, frankly, were to a greater degree than mine.
He won our league championship once in his tenure but he will always be a champ to me.
