Barbara R. Ehrhard, 80, of Whiting, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. Barbara was a dedicated flight attendant for Pan Am Airways. She started her career in 1967 at her homebase in San Francisco, then transferred 1972-1991 to her new homebase in New York City. Her second career was manager of the Amtrak VIP Lounge at New York Penn Station before retiring.

Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, she lived in San Francisco, CA, Manhattan, NY, West Orange, NJ, and Culver’s Lake, NJ before retiring to Crestwood Village, Whiting in 2018. Barbara was a proud member of World Wings, which is a nonprofit charitable, alumni-driven organization for former flight attendants of Pan Am. Barbara was known for her passion for world travel.

She was predeceased by her brother, Allen Ross. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Thomas, of 37 years; two stepsons, Frederick W. Ehrhard and Kurt J. Ehrhard; her stepdaughter, Marlaine K. Mendenhall and her husband, George, her granddaughter, Danielle Mendenhall, and her sister-in-law, Debra Ross.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, and from 10-11am on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
