In Loving Memory of Barbara (Lee) Fair
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Fair, a beloved mother, grandmother, and valued member of the community. Barbara peacefully left this world on December 5th, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 30, 1938, in Belleville, NJ, Barbara lived a life filled with love, joy, and meaningful connections.
Barbara moved to Jackson Township in 1963 and was an active neighbor and community contributor serving as both a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and a Brownie Leader for the Girl Scouts. Barbara spent most of her life in Ocean County, moving to Leisure Knoll in 2003, where she became an integral part of the community.
Barbara had an active social life and enjoyed going to shows with her friends and family, and she especially loved going to the Jersey shore – Long Beach Island was her favorite shore destination. The beach held a special place in her heart. Whether it was building sandcastles with her children and grandchildren, enjoying a sunset over the bay, or simply relishing the company of loved ones, Barbara found solace and happiness by the beach.
She was a woman of faith and an active member of her church, contributing her time and energy to the spiritual well-being of those around her. Barbara attended the Presbyterian Church of Lakehurst and served as both a Deacon and Elder. She could always be counted on to lend a hand and supported the various ministries of the church.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Janet Fair, her son Stephen Fair and his wife Karen, her son Frank Fair, her son John Fair, and his wife Karin and her cherished granddaughters; Emily Fair, Madeleine Fair, and Maxine Fair.
She leaves behind a legacy of good humor, good will, warmth, and an irrepressible spirit that will be carried on by those who loved her.
