Edwin Zapata, 74, of Lakewood passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Edwin was a Warehouse Supervisor for Wheaton Plastics, Lakewood, for over twenty years. He then worked for Swisher, New Egypt before retiring as a Sanitation Supervisor. Born and raised in Jersey City, he resided in Jackson before moving to Lakewood in 1991. Edwin was predeceased by two grandchildren Shane and Nicholas Zapata and his beloved dog Nellie. Edwin is survived by his loving wife Kimberly of thirty-seven years, five sons Edwin (Gail) of Jackson, Brandon (Melissa), of Jackson, James (Kristen) of Manchester Twp., Robert (Krystal) of Fayetteville, NC, Christopher (Maria), of Lakewood, two daughters Nicole of Manchester Twp., Amanda of Lakewood, two brothers Alvin (Jen) of Jackson, Marcus (Betty) of Jackson, his sister Lucy Ramos (Wilson) of Jersey City, and eighteen grandchildren. Visitation 4-7pm Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst.
