Hugo R. Wettstein

Hugo R. Wettstein, 89, of Leisure Village West, Manchester Twp. passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Hugo was an architect for Aspects, Inc. New York, NY before retiring. Born in Nicaragua, he came to the United States in 1987 to Brooklyn, NY, and resided in Queens, NY, and Mexico before moving to Manchester Twp. in 2018. Hugo was one of the co-founders of the architectural department at the National University of Nicaragua. Hugo is survived by his wife Maria Garza Quintanilla of sixty-three years, two sons Hans R. Wettstein, Hugo R. Wettstein both of Saltillo, Mexico, three daughters Graciela I. Bisset of Manchester Twp., Silvia L. Wettstein of Ottawa, Canada, Gloria L. Wettstein of Managua, Nicaragua, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Funeral Mass 11am Saturday August 10, 2024, at St. John’s R.C. Church, 619 Chestnut St., Lakehurst.
