Lois J. Chismar, 83, of Manchester Twp. passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at home. Lois was an executive administrative secretary to the superintendent of the Edison Board of Education for many years before retiring. Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Edison before moving to Manchester Twp. 20 years ago. Lois and her husband John were avid boaters and fishermen. Lois was predeceased by her brother Philip Check. Lois is survived by her loving husband John of 63 years, her sister-in-law Elaine (Cindy) Murray and her husband, Andrew Zsitvay of Haiku, Hawaii. Visitation 2-4pm Friday, September 8, 2023, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst.
