Louis and Jennie Rabasca
Louis J. Rabasca, age 91, formerly of Leisure Village West, Manchester Twp. passed peacefully into eternal life on July 5, 2023. On August 12, 2023, Louis’ beloved wife, Jennie, age 89, joined him in eternal rest. They were married 61 years. Louis worked for the City of New York Department of Water for over 30 years before retiring in 1982. After retirement, he worked for Atlantic Auto Group, West Islip, NY. Jennie worked as a bookkeeper for Trade Bank in Manhattan for more than 10 years. Soon after her marriage, she devoted her life to taking care of her husband, raising their daughter, and eventually taking care of her mother. Louis was a member of the Sons of Italy, Lindenhurst, NY, Knights of Columbus, Manchester Twp., and was an avid card player. Louis and Jennie were both members of the Italian American Club of Leisure Village West. They are survived by their daughter Lisa Roepe (Wayne); granddaughter, Jayna; and many extended family members and friends. Memorial gathering 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Interment immediately following at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
