Rev. John Goodhart, 92, of Whiting passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at Wiley Mission, Marlton. John was born in Hartford, CT. He was a Minister and Pastor for 40 years, serving the Lord faithfully in ME, MA, and NJ before retiring and moving to Whiting twenty-seven years ago. During those years John served as an interim pastor in several South Jersey congregations. John was an active member of Whiting Bible Church; and was a board member of the Children’s Christian Association. John was predeceased by his beloved wife and partner in ministry, Kathleen in 2023. John is survived by two sons John R. Goodhart and his wife, Sharon of Livingston, MT, James A. Goodhart of Vermilion, OH, two daughters Esther Cole and her husband, Greg of Marlton, Karen Riedy and her husband, Rev. Robert Riedy of York, PA, his brother Rev. Donald R. Goodhart and his wife, Joyce of Woodbury, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The time and place of a Celebration of Life ceremony will be forthcoming.
