Ruth Elizabeth (Harris) Beaudry Whiting, NJ – Ruth Elizabeth Beaudry, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Ruth was the youngest and last of 13 children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her late husband, Albert Beaudry, and she is surely smiling as she returns to his arms.
Ruth was a loving mother to Suzanne Bux and her husband Curtis, Denise Whaley and her late husband Mike, Renee Beaudry, Michele Donlon and her husband Bill, and the late Steven Beaudry and his wife Janet. She was lovingly known as “Nanny” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Christopher Beaudry and his wife Jillian, and their children Tess and Maeve; Kenneth Makwinski Jr. and his wife Betsy; Aimee Bux, Jenifer Corbett and her husband Ray, and their children Kaelyn and Emery; Kristen Dias and her wife Jennifer, and their children Brodie, Brantleigh, and Callie; Kevin Bux, Kelsey Donlon, Nicholas Whaley, Branden Dias and his wife Jennifer, and their daughter Sophia ; Ryan Whaley, Jessica Donlon, Krista Caldwell and her husband Taylor; Matthew Beaudry, Ethan Beaudry and Joseph Beaudry, each of whom she cherished. She was also blessed with a large extended family of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Ruth was a devout Catholic who found great peace in her faith, always knowing she was destined to reunite with God and her beloved Al for eternity. She had a larger-than-life personality, always the life of the party, with a quick wit and a way of making everyone around her laugh. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, sharing stories, and making memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she lived a full and beautiful life, surrounded by love. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of laughter, love, and togetherness will carry on. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
