
Charles G. Pawelak, 80, of Brick passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Charlie worked for the U.S. Post Office, Brick before retiring. Born in East Orange, he resided in Irvington before moving to Brick fifty years ago. Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. He was the service officer for the American Legion Post 348, Brick for over thirty-two years and past service officer for the Disabled American Vets (DAV). Charlie was an amazing cook and a dedicated father and grandfather. He will be missed by all. Charlie was predeceased by his loving wife Carol in 2010. Charlie is survived by his companion of fifteen years Kathy Hawley, five daughters Patricia DeGraff (Don) of Brick, Bernadette Vanderveer (Bill) of Lake Wylie, SC, Tracy Mark (Michael) of Howell, Sarah Tejada (Pablo) of Gaston, SC, Cheryl White-Inglese (Rob) of Port St. Lucie, FL, eleven cherished grandchildren Brian, Alex, Kylie, Brayden, Billy, KalinTraci, Liam, Devin, Nychele, Austin & Deven. Visitation 3-7pm Monday, April 21, 2025, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Funeral Mass 10am Tuesday April 22, 2025, at St. Dominic’s Church, 250 Old Squan Rd., Brick.
