Dennis R. Sveda, 76, of Berkeley Twp. passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Dennis worked for Department of Public Works for the City of Paterson before retiring as supervisor of the Shade Tree Department. Born in Passaic, he resided in Clifton and Paterson before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2008. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1967. Dennis was predeceased by his parents John and Theresa Sveda, 3 brothers James, Ralph, and John Sveda. Dennis is survived by his wife Dorothy (McGuire) Sveda of 43 years, his daughter Denise of Berkeley Twp., his stepson Kenneth Meyer and his wife, Debbie of SC, 3 grandchildren Caitlin, Megan, Zachery, his great-grandson Jackson, 2 sisters-in-law Christina Sveda, Ethel Sveda, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 9am Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
