Edith (Edie) Hindermann, age 86, of Whiting, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Edie dedicated many years of her career as a corporate accountant before her retirement. Edie also owned her own leather shop in Philadelphia, PA.
She was born in Gottingen, Germany, and emigrated to the United States at the age of 20. Edie resided in Brigantine prior to relocating to Whiting, where she lived for the past 25 years. Edie served as past president of the Board of Trustees for Crestwood Village 5, and the president of the camera club. Edie was well known for her photography of anything to do with nature.
Edie was predeceased by her domestic partner, Louise Jackson, in 2017. She is survived by her nephew, Stefan Hindermann; two nieces, Rita Bower and Christian Dalhaus; her sister-in-law, Elvira Hindermann; as well as many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 15, 2025, at UCC of Toms River, 1681 Ridgeway Rd., Toms River.
