Lisandro V. Morales, Jr., age 65, of Whiting, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Lisandro was a dedicated chef and food director for many years. Born in Newark, he lived in East Orange and Lanoka Harbor before making Whiting his home 11 years ago.

Lisandro served in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1983 and was unbelievably proud to have served our country. He was a gifted artist who would love to draw and create art for his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening more than anything, flowers brought him joy and he loved animals as much as people. An avid sportsman, Lisandro loved boxing and basketball, especially the New York Knicks.

Above all, Lisandro was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sheryl Miranda-Morales; two sons, Lisandro III (MaryAnn) and Justian Julian (Sydney), both of Philadelphia, PA; his cherished sister, Dominga; three brothers, Ismael, Pete, and Tony; his granddaughter, Amara; and a grandson soon to arrive.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with Military Honors on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Avenue, Lakehurst.

Lisandro is the farthest from gone, his legacy lives within all of his friends and family.
