Ronald J. Grimes, age 90, of Whiting, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. A dedicated boiler operator, Ronald devoted many years of service to FCM Corp. in Carteret before his retirement. Born in New Jersey, he resided in Carteret and Middletown, before moving to Whiting in 2002. From 1954 to 1962, Ronald served honorably in the United States Army.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara, in 2002; his daughter, Cindy, in 2020; his son, Steven, in 2022; his sister, Helen; and his three brothers, John, Ed, and Herbert. Ronald is survived by: his daughters Diane Flanagan and her husband Michael of Union Beach, and Lorri Outcalt and her husband George of Union Beach; his daughter-in-law, Heidi Martin; his son-in-law, Daniel Jouett; six adored grandchildren—Heather, Steven, Alexis, Haley, Olivia, and Ben; as well as his niece Joyce Miller and nephew John Treadaway. Ronald is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Hulak and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation 3-7pm Thursday, November 20, 2025, and 12-1pm Friday, November 21, 2025, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
