Diane M. Carraro, 76, of Whiting passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Diane was a dedicated employee for General Motors, Linden, NJ for 30 years before retiring. Born in Manhattan, NY, she resided in Union City and Brick before moving to Whiting 14 years ago.

Diane was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, Whiting and a past parishioner of Church of Epiphany, Brick where she was very active with their women’s organization and was an archangel. Diane enjoyed helping people and loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them places.

Diane is survived by her husband Jerry Opdyke, his son Jerry Opdyke of Brick and his companion, Ginny, his daughter Jennifer Holliday and her husband, Michael of Waretown, her brother Richard Carraro of VA, her sister Karen Carraro of VA, 3 grandchildren Brooke, Jerry Ryan, and Blake.
