Laurence R. Kleinman, 86, of Jackson Twp. Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Laurence was vice president of data processing for B. Moss Clothing, Ltd., Secaucus for many years before retiring. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in Kew Gardens Queens and resided in Plainsboro, NJ before moving to Jackson Twp. 18 years ago.
Laurence was a member of The McFossils, and The Church of Grace and Peace, Toms River where he served as an usher.
Laurence was predeceased by his first wife Arlene Tatar Sanz, his second wife Sally Ann Kleinman, his son Jonathan Kleinman, his daughter Susan Kovacik, and his sister Beth Goldman. Laurence is survived by his wife Alexis Kleinman, 2 sons; Marc Kleinman and his wife, Clare of New Oxford, PA, Tom Kleinman and his wife, Tammy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his daughter; Terri Kuklinski and her husband, Jeff of Barto, PA, his daughter-in-law; Greta Jo Payne of Cape May Courthouse, his stepson; Michael Kretzmer and his wife, Jessie of Merchantville, his stepdaughter; Rachel Little and her husband, Nick of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will be sitting Shiva on Sunday, September 27th from 1-4 pm at the Kleinman home in Jackson, NJ.
Services will be on Monday, September 28, 2026, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst, NJ. Visitation is from 11-12 with services immediately after. Interment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

Rest in Peace my friend I’m really going to miss you
Back in 1989, Larry welcomed me into his home with open arms. With him, I was never unwelcome or out of place. I was family from day 1. He led his family through the twists of life like a pillar standing tall. And that’s how i think of him, strong and tall, no matter what life threw at him or us. He is one of the most resilient men I know. He turned so many corners in his life and lived fully with each turn. After I married his son, (and I think it was on my wedding day) he said ‘look, people will come in and out of your life, even children one day, but life is about the two of you now, dont forget that.” And I haven’t. And he was right. He was a jovial man otherwise and had a big heart. I didnt see him as often as I would have liked, but it was comforting to know he was there. He’ll be missed. ❤️❤️

I’ll never forget each men’s breakfast when Larry would serenade us with “The best part of waking up is Folgers’ in your cup.” I’ll never look at Folgers’ coffee again without thinking about Larry. I will sorely miss my brother and friend 😢

Larry was a faithful servant of the Church of Grace and Peace Serving Team. It was Larry and 25 women! He was so amazing …we even had a cheer: “Larry, Larry he’s our man. If he can’t do it, nobody can!”

Larry was a kind and supportive man of God. He always looked for the best in people and was always so willing to lend a hand. He truly had a gift for service. He is rejoicing with his Lord and Messiah, Jesus!

Alexis, I am really saddened to hear about the loss of your husband Larry. In 2012, I first met him at Beth Zion Messianic Jewish Synagogue in Jackson.
